Where God's Love Is Real

Adult & Youth Studies

There are many ways to learn about the United Methodist Church and Dundee United Methodist Church.  First, you can visit the UMC website (click on the icon on page one).  You can speak with our pastor, Debbie Mak: phone 863.439.1268, or dmak@flumc.org.  Or you can drop by the Church on any Sunday at 10:00 am.  The Church members will be in the Fellowship Hall, having coffee and a snack before the Service.  Sit down and talk to us.  We'll tell you all about our Church Life.
Of course, we also have classes.

Facilitated by: Sharon Davis Pastor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor

The Bristol Sunday School Class is in Room 100 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. This is Adult Studies.
During the past two months, we have been examining key signs God had given people to mark his covenant relationship with them. We are reminded of God’s promise: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove your stony heart from your body and replace it with a living one”. The main theme in November will be “An Everlasting Covenant”. November 5th —Our purpose is to understand that our service to God is built upon integrity and fidelity to our commitments to God and to others. November 12th —Our purpose is to thrive in the confidence that God can forgive our sins and transform our hearts with a new covenant. November 19th —Our purpose is to pursue and express gratitude for the gift of God’s unshakeable kingdom through Jesus. November 26th —Our purpose is to celebrate in worship and our daily lives by remembering the redemptive life and death of Jesus. Hope you will join our class for a deeper study in the Scriptures, or maybe you would like to participate in the Joy class which discusses popular books written by Christian authors. These classes bring interesting discussions and fellowship. We look forward to seeing you at 9:00am Sunday morning!! Barbara Bateman is the teacher.
The Joy Class (also Adult Studies)  9:00 am Sundays
Joy Class - Our class has completed three lessons in James Moore’s book Attitude Is Your Paintbrush. We have covered the chapters on The Attitude or Gratitude, The Attitude of Compassion and the Attitude of Confidence. The first part is the message itself and the Moore gives three ways to gain this attitude. Many of our answers come from the church, our faith and the Gospel. Other times the answer lies in the actions we can take. Several new members are John Watt, Bernie Gillespie, and Connie Favorite. We ask that you join our class or one of the other classes. They all offer a different type of study

Discipleship Class
Considering making a deeper commitment to Christ? Pastor Sharon is forming a new class to study what it means to be a disciple of Christ. This class is for those wanting to explore church membership or find out more about what it means to be a disciple in the United Methodist tradition.
